Week 4 Power Rankings: TVC-Ohio
< < Back to week-4-power-rankings-tvc-ohio1) Athens Bulldogs (4-0, 1-0)
Joe Burrow, Trae Williams and the Bulldogs offense put on another show in Week 4, beating Alexander 55-9 to open the conference schedule.
2) Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (3-1, 1-0)
The rapport that Hunter Edwards and Jeremy Warren have built rivals that of Athens' Burrow and Luehrman. Warren grabbed five receptions for 227 yards in the 28-7 win against River Valley last Friday.
3) River Valley Raiders (3-1, 0-1)
After changes and advancements to the program in the last three years, the team has seen much improvement this season already. Though they are 0-1 in the conference, the team continues to show their worth in the TVC-Ohio.
4) Wellston Golden Rockets (2-2)
After winning two in a row, the Golden Rockets were dismantled 40-6 in the Jackson County Civil War against Oak Hill that saw the new running-clock rule used the entire second half. The Golden Rockets gained only 163 total yards, in large part thanks to the team’s seven fumbles, six of which were lost.
5) Alexander Spartans (2-2, 0-1)
Don’t let last week’s 55-9 loss to Athens fool you, the Alexander gave the Bulldogs the hardest fight of anyone so far this year and even led 3-0 to start the game. However, the Spartans have lost two straight after starting the season 2-0 and their schedule doesn’t get any easier from here as the Spartans play their next two games on the road.
6) Meigs Marauders (2-2, 1-0)
The Marauders finally got the win they were looking for. They bounced back from the blowout loss to Logan with a big Week 4 win against the Vinton County by a score of 46-13.
7) Vinton County Vikings (0-4, 0-1)
Vinton County continues to struggle throughout the start of this 2014 season. With the latest loss at the hands of Meigs, the Vikings are still trying to find that missing piece of the puzzle. It doesn’t get any easier for the Vikings this week, though, as they hit the road for a game with Athens.
