Water Main Break Drains Waverly City Tanks

Nancy Steele, secretary at the water department, tells the Chillicothe Gazette that thousands of gallons of potable water has been setup at the water department where people can bring their own containers to get water they need.
In the meantime, the department also has been delivering water to those unable to leave their homes.
Crews discovered a large water main break under the creek near Canal Park Sunday night. While they hoped to get the leak fixed Monday, Steele tells the Gazette they had to call a construction crew in to do the repair because they don’t have the needed equipment.
Once the line is repaired, residents will be under a water boil advisory.
