CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice says a member of the state School Building Authority has resigned.

Governor Justice announced Thursday the resignation of Tom Lange.

The statement says that Lange wrote an email to SBA executive director David Roach indicating Lange believe changes made by Roach “aren’t in the best interest” of state taxpayers.

The SBA distributes money to public schools for construction and renovation projects statewide.

Brian Abraham is chairman of the SBA and general counsel to Justice. Abraham says in the statement the SBA has an “open, fair and transparent” process that ensures each county receives the same treatment and consideration.
