Hocking Trustees Talk Over Labor Problem
< < Back to hocking-trustees-talk-over-labor-problemA Hocking College union has voted down the latest contract offered by the school and College trustees met today to talk about it.
The meeting lasted about 90 minutes, according to spokeswoman Laura Alloway, but she declined to answer questions about the discussion, which was held behind closed doors.
She did say more negotiations are planned "at the end of January."
Apparently the union workers will stay on the job, at least for the time being.
Alloway says the union has not issued a strike notice.
The bargaining unit is made up of about 90 custodians, administrative assistants, maintenance workers and other support staff.
Their contract expired last summer.
