Sheridan Offense Erupts In Must-Win Game Against Philo
< < Back to sheridan-offense-erupts-in-must-win-game-against-philoDUNCAN FALLS, Ohio (WOUB) – Philo High School witnessed an offensive explosion on Friday as the Electrics (5-3; 1-2) hosted the Sheridan Generals (7-1; 3-1).
After a tightly contested first half, a third quarter outburst allowed the Generals to leave with a 32-21 victory.
After seeing Sheridan jump on the board early with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Reid Packer to Andrew Holden, the Electric would even it up in the second quarter thanks to a Carter McCutcheon run.
The Generals would retake the lead thanks to a 13-yard touchdown pass from Caden Sheridan to Corey Amspaugh.
However, Philo would even the score again thanks two Owen Smith taking it 16 yards on the QB scramble into the endzone.
However, Camden Sheridan and Jason Munyan would each tack on a touchdown in the third quarter as they outscore the Electric 15-0 in the quarter to take a 29-14 lead.
Smith would add another rushing touchdown but the comeback attempt would fall just short.
Both teams combined for 771 yards with 485 of those yards coming from the Generals.
Sheridan tallied 216 passing yards and 269 rushing yards.
Camden Sheridan threw for 166 yards on nine completions with two passing touchdowns.
Munyan ran for 157 yards and found the end zone once.
Smith threw for 104 yards and rushed for 78 of the teams 182 yards while also getting into the end zone twice.
