VIDEO: Gizzae at Rhythm on the River
< < Back to video-gizzae-rhythm-riverChicago-based reggae band Gizzae performed at “Rhythm on the River” in Pomeroy, Ohio, on Friday, Aug. 4, marking the fourth performance of this year’s series.
The Pomeroy Blues and Jazz Society, headquartered at the Court Street Grill, has hosted the series at the Riverside Amphitheatre for the past 13 years.
The Grammy Award-winning group performed both original works and well-known reggae covers (such as Bob Marley’s “Stir It Up,” shown in the video above).
The band, which has recorded and played with The Rolling Stones, Ziggy Marley and Bruce Springsteen, was warmly welcomed by the Pomeroy audience.
Up-and-coming blues singer/harp man Grady Champion will perform on Friday, Aug. 10, which will be the final show of this year’s concert series.
