The ACLU has sent a letter to a Chillicothe high school after school officials asked a student to leave a football game.
A news release from the ACLU said the student was registering voters and circulating petititions at an event sponsored by Zane Trace High School.
ACLU of Ohio Legal Director James Hardiman said students should be "commended" for this activity because it's encouraging civic participation and political awareness.
Zane Trace High School Principal said he was shocked to get the letter because the school encourages political involvement.
