Ohio Indoor Track Wins Six Events At Tom Wright Classic
< < Back to ohio-indoor-track-wins-six-events-tom-wright-classicThe Ohio Bobcats indoor track and field team competed in the Tom Wright Classic in Bowling Green, Ohio, their fourth tournament of the year. It was a big day for the Bobcats who won six events at the meet.
Sophomore Chanda Cuckler took first place in the High Jump, clearing 1.65m, and freshman Kristen Winkel won the Triple Jump (10.09m).
Junior Morgan Meade took the top spot in the 3000m with a time of 10:12.80, and Sophomore Delaney Bogler finished first in the 600m run (1:44.23) with fellow sophomore Maria Braddford finishing second (1:52.36).
Junior Melissa Thompson secured the biggest win of the night for Ohio. Thompson took first place the Mile with a time of 4:57.98 and automatically qualified for the MAC Indoor Championships. Freshman Kayla Scott’s personal-best time of 5:06.23 was good for second.
The Bobcats the next meet will be in Youngstown, Ohio, at the YSU National Mid Major Invitational on Feb. 1-2.
