Save the date and start brainstorming your very best creative reuse entries to win great prizes (from memberships to cash prizes)!

This year we will be holding the Competition at The Dairy Barn Arts Center. We are so delighted to be partnering with this amazing local non-profit! There will be a cash bar, live music and refreshments available all afternoon. The event is going to be held in partnership with the Power 105 WXTQ / 97 WATH‘s 36th Annual Chili Bowl, which will be outside during the same hours.

The ReUse Competition will be in the Community Room at The Dairy Barn.

Create your best entries incorporating at least 75% upcycled materials for the following categories:

Adult:
Artistic
Clothing
Furniture
Home Living
Jewelry & Fashion

Youth [Age 8-18]

The deadline to enter will be at midnight, Saturday October 12th

All entries must be accompanied by a small description of concept and materials used. Entrant should also mention which category they would most like to be considered for.
Our judges reserve the right to move your entry to another category, if needed, based on the description.

All entries must be dropped off at the Dairy Barn Arts Center between 12-5pm on Friday, October 25th.
No entries will be accepted after these times.

Judging will be from 12-1pm Saturday, Oct. 26th, with winners announced at 2pm.

Winners in each Adult category will receive:
1st place – personalized plague and a 6-month Athens MakerSpace Membership

2nd & 3rd places – personalized plaque.

Winner in the Youth category will receive:
1st place: $50

Best in Show winners will receive:
1st place – $300
2nd place – $200
3rd place – $100

Do you know someone who is an outstanding contributor to the ReUse industries’ mission? We want to recognize their accomplishments! This award will be presented at the Competition awards. Anyone, except for active ReUse board members, can be nominated.
