Food History: A Founding Feast

Celebrate Marietta’s 230th founding with an enjoyable “repast, consisting of all the substantials and delicacies which the woods and the streams and the gardens and the housewives’ skill afforded.” We are harkening back to an impressive dinner served along the Muskingum River on the Fourth of July 1788. Taste our interpretation of “the first public celebration of Marietta or the Northwest Territory” and learn from engaging speakers about this meal and this timeframe in our local history!
