Volunteers with The Plains Volunteer Fire Department and the local American Red Cross will be going door-to-door in The Plains on Saturday, September 17 to offer free smoke detectors and fire safety information. The firefighters will install the free, 10-year smoke detectors in residents’ homes.

People in The Plains who are not visited can request a visit for information and smoke detectors by calling the Red Cross at 740-593-5273.
