Ohio University's Alden Library is celebrating its 125th anniversary as a member of the Federal Depository Library Program.
Depository libraries provide free access to certain government publications.
Doreen Hockenberry is in charge of the program at Alden Library.
She says that the program offers a chance for the public to view documents that the government feels are important.
The program only took up a corner of Cutler Hall when it started in 1886.
It now includes the entire west wing of Alden Library.
