Construction is done on a new multi-purpose justice center in Wood County.

The facility was four years and several million dollars in the making.

The sheriff's office, magistrate court and home confinement department will all be housed in the new facility.

County leaders say the set-up means saving money and time for the departments and agencies that work closely together.

The old holding center and magistrate courts sites will be razed and used for parking, while the sheriff's office will be used to archive county records.

Local leaders and law enforcement dedicated the building yesterday.
