The Athens County Convention and Visitors Bureau is launching a new program to help Ohio University students explore their new home.
Bobcats in Athens offers suggestions to students on places to visit, eat and shop in Athens.
"It's just a good way to encourage students to learn more about the arts and the culture and the local businesses that make Athens so great," said Jenna Dill, ACCVB marketing and sales manager.
Dill also said she believes the program can help boost the local economy.
"They know more about the local shops and restaurants and businesses. It's just a mutually beneficial relationship, and why not encourage the students to spend their dollars in local businesses and help keep the economy here in Athens really good," she said.
Students can access Bobcats in Athens online or in Ohio University's Baker Center.
