Police have identified a Pleasants County toddler who was killed in a dog attack.

Sheriff's Deputy Steve McFarland tells media outlets that the death of 2-year-old Jack Redin remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.

McFarland says Redin was attacked after he wandered into a neighbor's yard Wednesday afternoon. Two mixed-breed dogs were in the yard but police haven't determined whether both animals attacked the boy.

McFarland says the boy was dead when his father found him.

The dogs remain under a quarantine at a veterinarian's clinic.

Funeral services for Redin are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
