A suspect wanted in connection with the June shooting death of a man near Malta is now in custody.

The Morgan County Sheriff's office reports Timmy Stevens, 39, was arrested in Delaware, Ohio.

Stevens was wanted in connection with the death of 36-year-old John Davis III.

Stevens allegedly shot Davis during a June 12 argument outside a home south of Malta.

Davis' body was found two weeks later at the edge of a creek.

Stevens had been at large and was considered armed and dangerous.

Sheriff's deputies say confidential sources tipped off Delaware officers to where Stevens might be hiding.

He was seen on the street and was then arrested.

Stevens faces a murder and felonious assault charge related to Davis' death.
