Women Suspected in Robbery Crime Spree Arrested

Two women have been arrested in connection with a robbery spree in Scioto County.

Sheriff Marty Donini says a clerk working at Sun Spot tanning salon called 911 on Saturday, saying she had just been robbed at knife point by two women.

The clerk told detectives that the women took her cell phone and the business phone.

They also made her go into a tanning room and not to come out.

The Sheriff says detectives were able to identify the women from surveillance video.

Early Tuesday morning, 911 received a call from Kenny’s Convenient Mart saying they were just robbed by a woman who fled store in gold Lumina.

Sheriff Donini says surveillance video identified the suspect as one of the women from the tanning salon robbery.

The Sheriff says detectives and deputies patrolling the Minford area after this robbery located the suspect vehicle parked behind a trailer on Furnace Creek Rd.

During a search of several trailers, one of the suspects, Leanna Ramey, 31, of Wheelersburg was found.

The other suspect, Danielle Starcher, 28, of Jackson, Ohio was later located at in Jackson County, Ohio.

Ramey has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery, one count of kidnapping, one count of safecracking, and one count of robbery.Starcher is charged with one count of aggravated robbery, one count of kidnapping, and one count of safecracking.

Both women are being held on $250,000 bond in the Scioto County Jail.

The Sheriff says detectives are also investigating the theft of money from the Minford Quick Stop on January 16 where the two women are the possible suspects.
