CBS Sports Network and the Mid-American Conference have reached a multi-year deal to air college football and basketball games. The deal with the MAC begins this upcoming season and will run through 2018-19.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast up to 12 football games and 12 basketball games per year. The first year, the deal is expected to televise six football games and seven basketball games.
In 2015, the six football games will include two Thursday games, three Saturday games, and a game on the Friday following Thanksgiving. The deal is through a sublicense agreement with ESPN.
“This agreement provides another platform to showcase the outstanding students attending the Mid-American Conference member institutions,” said Mid-American Conference commissioner, Dr. Jon Steinbrecher. “I look forward to joining forces with the CBS family.”
CBS Sports Network is widely available through DirecTV, Dish, AT&T U-Verse, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable.
