Ohio echoed its win against Clarion in its match against Northern Illinois Friday by dominating the Huskies 23-10.

Phil Wellington, ranked 13th in the nation defeated Shawn Scott, ranked 17th in the nation for a second year in a row. Wellington won by a technical fall 20-5, which is a big difference from last years win with 7-3 individual points.

Wellington was not the only one to face off against the same opponent as last year. Heavyweight Jesse Webb struggled to gain points against his opponent Arthur Bruce. Bruce won by decision by gaining a point against Webb in a take down.

One bobcat that stood out was Codey Walters, who took the lead in individual points against his opponent Trace Engelkes.

Walters scored two points in the first period with a take down and scored two more points with a reversal, sending him into the third period with 4-0 lead. Walters won by a major decision with 6-1 individual points.

Ohio will face off against their next opponent Buffalo, N.Y on Sunday, January 24.
