There's still no sign of a missing hunter in Lawrence County.

The search for Don Nickels of Raceland is continuing this morning.

Nickels was scouting a place to hunt this upcoming deer season on Sunday and never returned to his car.

His car was parked near Telegraph Road off of Route 93.

Law enforcement officials have been searching the woods for the past two days.

Nickels' family members say he spent lots of time hunting in the Wayne National Forest and knows the terrain well.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeffery Lawless says he doesn't know how long they will continue to look for Nickels because the search could get dangerous for his officers.

Lawless says "We're certainly going to look around again today, but it certainly can't go on forever. I'm not trying to be smart or disrespectful to the family but at some point we have to. We just don't want to see anybody laying out there in the woods injured or worse."

Lawless says the search will be called off when all options and efforts have been exhausted.

If you have any information, call the sheriff's office at 740-532-3525.
