Fatal Accident In Vinton County
< < Back to fatal-accident-vinton-countyA Londonderry man is dead after state troopers say his wife lost control of their car sending them into a Vinton County creek.
Troopers from the Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol say Marcella Roister, 61, was driving on State Route 327 with her husband, Garry Roister, 56, and son in the car.
They say she then failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road and overturned into the creek.
They were trapped in the vehicle until her son, 32-year old Jesse Davis of South Bloomingville, was able to call for help.
The Roisters were both taken to the hospital where Mr. Roister later died.
Troopers say alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
