A man shot last weekend in Athens is now under arrest.

Police say the story John Hawk told them was a lie.

John Hawk was shot last weekend in Athens, when he said a man falsely accused him of robbing him.

He told police the man, who hasn't been named, just came up to him and shot him, but Athens County Sheriff's Office Deputies say it was really a burglary and robbery that went wrong.

Hawk is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, burglary and obstruction of justice.

He's at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail Saturday night on a $250,000 bond.

Also arrested is Hawk's girlfriend, Misty Lynn Worstell, for her part in lying to police and assisting in the robbery.

She's charged with complicity to aggravated robbery and burglary, complicity to burglary, and obstruction of justice.

She's also at the jail with a $100,000 bond.
