Bridges Selected As New Hocking College Provost

Dr. Carl Bridges has been selected as the new Hocking College Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and Provost.
Bridges was previously the Senior Vice President of Education and Chief Academic Officer for Empire Education Group.
He served as the Director of Student Affairs and an Associate Professor at Ohio University from 1990 to 1995.
During his time at OU, Bridges recieved various awards including University Professor Excellence in Teaching Award and Faculty-Staff Contribution Award.
"His commitment toward ensuring excellence in both academics and student services will bring Hocking College to an entirely new level of excellence," says Hocking College President Ron Erickson.
The search began with a pool of more than 40 nationwide applicants.
Bridges was chosen after interviews, campus visits, and input from the campus community.
"I have had experiences in a variety of eduational arenas, and I look forward to bringing skills, energy, and enthusiam to Hocking," says Bridges.
