Ohio swimming and diving has added a new member to it's coaching staff. Derick Roe joins the 'Cats after serving as the assistant coach to men's and women's swimming at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY.
Roe is quite familiar with Mid American Conference swimming. He swam for four years at Eastern Michigan University, where he was a four-year letter winner and a two-time NCAA Mid-Major All-American. He was also named MAC Swimmer of the year twice in his career, and still holds the record for 50 freestyle in the conference.
Roe joins an Ohio squad that finished second at the MAC Championships last season. The Bobcats kick off the regular season against Roe's alma mater, Eastern Michigan, on October 27 at 1 p.m.
