Lancaster Woman Pleads Guilty To Attempted Arson
< < Back to lancaster-woman-pleads-guilty-attempted-arsonA Lancaster resident pleaded guilty to one count of attempted aggravated arson for trying to set her neighbors' home on fire.
According to the Fairfield County Prosecuting Attorney's Office Sherie Bomar attempted to set fire to the home while they were asleep inside on July 11th.
Bomar was being monitored by the police at the time.
Assistant prosecuting attorney Darren Meade says because of that, the police were able to act quickly to prevent injury or serious property damage.
Bomar remains in the Fairfield County Jail pending a sentencing hearing.
Meade says they will be seeking a seven year sentence for Bomar.
Bomar has had two other arson related convictions over the past 15 years.
