Three members of the women’s indoor track & field team were recognized for their efforts in the classroom, being named to the Academic All-MAC team for the season on Wednesday.

Senior Kiley Mathews (3.41 GPA) and juniors Juli Accurso (3.86 GPA) and Melissa Thompson (3.87 GPA) were chosen to represent Ohio on the annual list. This marks the second consecutive year that Accurso and Thompson have been named to the team.

To be considered for this honor, student athletes must have at least a 3.20 GPA, while participating in at least 50% of their respective team's events.

The three were an integral part to the Bobcats indoor team this season. Accurso won the 3,000m run and finished fourth in the mile at the MAC Indoor Championships. Thompson won the one-mile run at the MAC Indoor Championships, with her personal-best time of 4:48:22 also setting a new school record.

Accurso and Mathews were on the DMR team that set a new MAC record with a time of 11:26:20 at the Indoor Championships.

Sophomores Chanda Cuckler (3.48 GPA) and Morgan Reichert (3.52 GPA) and freshmen Kayla Scott (3.41 GPA) and Hayley Stegemiller (3.79 GPA) were named to the Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention squad.
