HCSO Seeks Help In Finding Wanted Man
< < Back to hcso-seeks-help-finding-wanted-manThe Hocking County Sheriff Office is looking for everyone’s help in finding Levi Koch, 22, of Logan, who eluded deputies by running into the woods near Union Furnace Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies wish to speak with Koch since he was allegedly driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer and utility trailer which witnesses say was involved in a scrap metal theft from a property located at the residence of Dee Sinkovitz on Smith Chapel Road Tuesday.
The vehicle was located at Michel’s Scrap & Iron in Union Furnace, and a passenger in the vehicle, Chad Binegar, 22, of Logan, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Koch also has been charged with receiving stolen property, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
HCSO Deputy Trent Woodgeard and K-9 Sherman were dispatched to the business, but a scent wasn’t detectable, according to Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North.
A reverse 911 call to residents in the area of Union Furnace was initiated by Hocking County 911 advising everyone of a wanted person in the area.
Anyone who knows where Koch could be located should contact the HCSO at 740-385-2131 or use the crime tip located at www.hockingsheriff.org.
