Harris Leads Way For Southern Local School Board

The unofficial results are in for the Southern Local Schools Board of Education race.
Three of the four candidates were elected for the board.
Paul Harris received the most votes, with 674 votes, or 32 percent of the vote.
Brenda Johnson got the second seat on the board, with 584 votes and 28 percent of the vote.
The third and final seat on the board goes to Dennis Teaford, who received 23 percent of the vote with 480 total votes.
Peggy Gibbs is denied a seat on the board as she only received 18 percent of the vote, with 374 votes.
Results will not be official until the Meigs County Board of Elections certifies the votes at a later date.
