Franklin Local Schools Tax Levy Fails
Franklin Local School District’s 2.5 mills additional tax levy failed Tuesday. Unofficial polling results received from boards of elections show that Franklin’s tax levy failed with 1,459 voting against the levy and 1,126 voting for it. Franklin Local School District is split between Muskingum and Perry Counties, and it failed in both.

Meigs County Voters Approve Senior Citizens Tax Levy
The unofficial results are in for the Meigs County senior citizens tax levy. Voters approved the levy, which received 3,329 votes, or 73 percent, as opposed to 1,227 votes against.
