Students began moving into Bush Hall on East Green this semester following the $9.1 million renovations to the building.

Funds for the project come from the Residential Housing Auxiliary Reserve which recycles leftover student housing money for upgrades.

Jeneanne Hacker, the Associate Director of Student Housing, says the goal was to make Bush Hall feel more like home.

"We incorporated a lot more social areas into the buildings so that students could make those connections outside of their rooms with other individuals within the hall because we know that students who are making those connections are more satisfied with their residential experience," Hacker said.

The new Bush Hall is now fully handicap-accessible and more energy efficient.

In addition to new elevators, study rooms and lounges, each hallway also has remodeled bathrooms.
