Charleston Murder Suspect Denied Bond, Stays In Jail

A suspect in a murder case in Charleston will stay behind bars.

Deveron Patterson is charged with first-degree murder for the death of Kareem Hunter.

WSAZ reports that Patterson's attorney requested his bond be set at $100,000, but the judge denied it.

Prosecutors say Patterson helped Miguel Quinones duct tape Hunter after he was murdered at an apartment in Marmet back in September. Hunter's body was found about a month later dumped in Beckley.
