State Budget Won’t Include More Fest Authority

State Rep. Debbie Phillips (D-Albany) and State Sen. Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) said they will be talking with local officials and others about how to proceed.
Both Athens City Council and the Athens County Commissioners have received complaints from members of the public about April’s Number Fest, which took place off Route 56 just outside Athens and drew thousands of concert goers.
About a dozen people, many of whom live near the festival, met with the county commissioners and raised concerns soon after the festival.
