Week 1 Power Rankings: TVC-Hocking
< < Back to week-1-power-rankings-tvc-hocking- Wahama White Falcons (1-0, 0-0)
After dismantling Ravenswood 42-0 in week one, the White Falcons take the top spot. They are clicking on both sides of the ball and are poised to make another run for the TVC-Hocking title.
- Trimble Tomcats (0-1, 0-0)
After falling 26-20 at home to a good Nelsonville-York team, the Tomcats slide down to the two spot. However, Justice Jenkins is still on the roster and the Tomcats remain as dangerous as ever.
- Southern Tornadoes (1-0, 0-0)
Southern notched a win against Portsmouth Notre Dame 21-18, a game in which it was favored. Based on recent success, Southern could present itself as dark horse team in the Hocking.
- Miller Falcons (1-0, 1-0)
Miller picked up its first win against Waterford in over 10 years, beating the Wildcats 21-19. Road wins are hard to come by, thus giving Miller a boost in this week’s rankings.
- South Gallia Rebels (0-1, 0-0)
The Rebels fell to the Sciotoville East Titans 28-27 in week one, but expect an experienced roster to bounce back moving forward.
- Federal Hocking Lancers (0-1, 0-0)
The Lancers suffered a tough loss 45-14 to a budding Alexander team. With only 24 players on the roster, it will take contributions from every player in order to find success.
- Waterford Wildcats (0-1, 0-1)
Waterford’s offensive line showed some rough edges in its loss to Waterford. Defensively, the Wildcats struggled to tackle in open space.
- Belpre Golden Eagles (0-1, 0-0)
Belpre stumbled out of the gate with a 26-6 loss to Fort Frye in which the Eagles struggled in all three phases of the game. Belpre will need to put the loss behind it with Trimble coming to town on Friday, which could go a long way in determining the TVC-Hocking title chase.
- Eastern Eagles (0-1, 0-0)
After a season-opening 60-6 loss to River, the Eagles are better off putting that game in the rear view mirror.
