1.) Tri Valley 6-1 (5-0) | Last Rank: 1 | Next Opponent: @ Sheridan

The Scotties have now won three straight, all by at least 35 points. Friday’s 42-0 win over John Glenn marked their fourth shutout win of the season.

2.) Sheridan 5-2 (5-0) Last Rank: 2 | Next Opponent: Vs. Tri Valley

Sheridan won, but it won ugly. The Generals escaped with a win over Philo after turning the ball over twice, allowing ten points off turnovers, and piling up 72 penalty yards.

3.) Maysville 6-1 (4-1) | Last Rank: 3 | Next Opponent: @ John Glenn

Maysville got back on track after falling to Sheridan in week six, steamrolling Morgan 49-7. Chase Roberts finished with 103 yards and three touchdowns.

4. Philo 3-4 (2-3) | Last Rank: 5 | Next Opponent: @ New Lexington

Momentum turned against the Electrics after a second quarter muffed punt recovery was negated by officials. Instead of having the ball in the red zone with a chance to extend its 17-7 lead, momentum shifted and Philo’s offense fell quiet in the second half.

5. New Lexington 3-4 (3-2) | Last Rank: 6 | Next Opponent: Vs. Philo

With the exception of a 70-yard touchdown drive in the third quarter, New Lexington’s defense subdued West Muskingum completely on Friday.

6. Crooksville 3-4 (2-3) | Last Rank: 4 | Next Opponent: @ Morgan

Crooksville’s last two MVL games have finished as complete offense. The Ceramics outlasted West Muskingum in a shootout 56-34 in week five while squeaking past Philo 3-0 in week six.

7. West Muskingum 1-6 (1-6) | Last Rank: 7 | Next Opponent: @ Buckeye Trail

Friday’s 13-point loss stands as West Muskingum’s smallest margin of defeat.

8. John Glenn 1-6 (1-4) Last Rank: 8 Next Opponent: Vs.  Maysville

John Glenn’s struggles against successful teams continued on Friday against Tri-Valley. In its three games against winning teams, John Glenn has scored 14 points.

9. Morgan 0-7 (0-5) Last Rank: 9 | Next Opponent: Vs. Crooksville

The Raiders have cracked the double-digit point total threshold just once this season.
