Ohio Football Earns Multiple MAC Honors
< < Back to ohio-football-earns-multiple-mac-honorsFive Bobcats earned second and third team honors from the Mid-American Conference. Redshirt senior cornerback Ian Wells was named to the All-MAC Second Team Defense. Sophomore inside linebacker Quentin Poling was named to the All-MAC Third Team Defense. These are both their first time being named to the All-MAC teams.
Redshirt seniors offensive linemen Lucas Powell and Mike McQueen were named to the All-MAC Third Team Offense. This is Powell’s second honor of his career, the first being in 2014. Junior wide receiver Sebastian Smith was also named to the All-MAC Third Team offense. These are both Smith’s and McQueen’s first career honors.
Redshirt junior defensive lineman Kurt Laseak was named MAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Week. Laseak finished second on the team with eight tackles against Northern Illinois on November 24th. He finished the regular season with 53 total tackles, 18 of those being solo. He also carries a 3.79 GPA with a major in mechanical engineering.
