Logan Woman Shot During Altercation
< < Back to logan-woman-shot-during-altercationA Logan man is in custody after being charged in connection with a shooting that hospitalized a woman.
Deputies from the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office responded to Ellinger Road on March 17 on a report that an individual had been shot, according to a news release by the sheriff’s office.
Both the the alleged shooter and the victim had left the scene, but deputies found the firearm allegedly used in the offense near the driveway of the residence,” the release stated.
“The weapon had been stolen from a house burglary in February of this year,” according to the release.
The two people investigators say were involved in the shooting were located in the emergency room of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
Kelly L. Poling, Jr., 26, was arrested on a probation violation from Hocking County Municipal Court and was additionally charged with felonious assault, receiving stolen property and having weapons while under disability, all felony offenses.
Poling was transported to the Franklin County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing back to Hocking County.
