South Gallia Wins After Slow Start
< < Back to south-gallia-wins-after-slow-startThe South Gallia Rebels took home a win after beating the Federal Hocking Lancers 42-24 in Friday nights game.
Federal Hocking started off the game with a touchdown by Walker Church who just couldn’t be stopped. Church scored his second touchdown in the last 2 minutes of the second quarter putting Federal Hocking in the lead 12-6 going into halftime.
To start the third quarter, Federal Hocking quarterback, Dillon Wilfong, passed to Colton Roark who ran 55 yards to the end zone putting the Lancers in the lead 18-6.
Shortly after Roarks touchdown, Deakin Hatfield kept the momentum going on Federal Hockings side with 75 yard touchdown.
Federal Hocking led all 3 quarters, but the Rebels weren’t putting up with that. Johnny Sheetz stepped up and pushed his way down the field and scored with a 22 yard run and then scored again with a 64 yard run at the end of the 3rd quarter. South Gallia finally picked up its game on the offensive side and scored 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter giving them the Win against Federal Hocking.
South Gallia will look to get its second win next Friday against the Trimble Tomcats, while Federal Hocking will go head-to-head against the Belpre Golden Eagles who are also looking for their first win of the season.
