National Acts Greener Grounds, Earphorik Headed To DRXVMS Oct. 21
< < Back to national-acts-greener-grounds-earphorik-headed-to-drxvms-oct-21Athens based concert production company A Town Roots is excited to have two very talented touring acts coming to The Venue of DRXVMS (pronounced DREAMS), 13 West Stimson Ave., on Friday, Oct. 21. The concert will feature Denver, CO band Greener Grounds as well as Earphorik from Fort Wayne, IN.
Though only together for the last two years, four-piece jamtronica outfit Greener Grounds has been quickly picking up steam. The band’s popular sound fuses psychedelic rock, funk and electronica with lyrics that express passion, collective consciousness and environmental sustainability. Their energetic live show and musical excellence has kept them touring extensively this last year, earning them slots at multiple large festivals, such as Sonic Bloom, Backwoods, and even Ohio’s Resonance Music & Arts Festival. Expect blistering funk and danceable beats from this phenomenal young group.
Earphorik keeps their rock sounds more on the progressive side, taking influence from old school prog rock and jam bands and fusing it with that of new school powerhouses like Umphrey’s McGee and funkier acts like Kung Fu. Their excellent sound and work ethic has earned them slots on bills nationally with the likes of moe. and The Werks, as well as appearances at Summer Camp Music Festival and Taste of Randolph Street. Expect technical guitar licks and nonstop energy.
Doors open at 9 p.m. and cover is $8.
Tickets are still available for when Ohio powerhouse group The Werks visits DRXVMS on Nov. 4. Tier 1 tickets have already sold out and $15 Tier 2 tickets will most likely sell out as well. Tickets can be found at www.a-townroots.yapsody.com. Tickets are $20 at the door.
