< < Back to belpre-wins-in-final-driveThe Belpre Golden Eagles and Eastern Eagles battled hard tonight, but only one team could come out on top. Belpre won over Eastern with a final score 25-20. Both teams faced the challenge of overcoming not only their opponent, but also the relentless rain which resulted in a slick and muddy field.

After halftime, the momentum began to kick in for both teams. Both had good defense, shutting down plays left and right.
Belpre’s offense continued its lead with Ryan Simoniette scoring with 6 minutes left to go in the fourth.
Eastern didn’t agree with this and fought back scoring two times in the second half putting it ahead 20-19.
