For the second time this season, Ohio forward Antonio Campbell earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors for the East Division.
The Bobcats went 1-1 this past week, where Campbell averaged 27 points and 14 rebounds over those two games. He went 20-31 shooting from the field for a 64.5 percentage, the team best.
Ohio suffered their first loss of the season to rival Marshall on Wednesday, but Campbell put up big numbers. He scored a season-high 31 points and pulled down 16 boards, good for a double-double. In his 28 minutes of play, he was also able to rack up an assist, a steal, and seven of his 16 rebounds came from the offensive side.
In Ohio’s dominant 79-53 rout of Bryant at the Convocation Center on Saturday, Campbell led the Bobcats with 23 points and 12 rebounds. That effort was his second straight double-double, and third of the season.
Up next for the reigning MAC Player of the Year and the Bobcats are the Iona Gaels. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the Hynes Athletics Center in New Rochelle, New York.
