This weekend marked the 25th annual River City Blues Competition, which pitted up-and-coming musical acts against each other for a grand prize of $1,000 and sponsorship to the International Blues Competition in Memphis. The event took place at the Lafayette Hotel, located at 101 Front St. in Marietta.
