The sophomore opened the week last Tuesday by going 2-for-4 with a walk and run scored in a 6-5 victory at Youngstown State. The following day at Marshall, he tallied his second home run of the season.
He then came up with two huge performances in the final two matches of a three-game set at Eastern Michigan, going 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and six RBIs on Saturday and provided three hits, including two home runs and drove in six runs for the second consecutive game in the Sunday series finale.
Rott and the Bobcats travel to Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio to reface Marshall on Wednesday.
