< < Back to ovst-welcomes-new-executive-artistic-director-carol-pattersonThe 67 year old Athens based community theater, Ohio Valley Summer Theater (OVST) is excited to announce the hiring of veteran director and long-time Athens resident Carol Patterson as the new Executive and Artistic Director. Patterson replaces Christi Camper Moore who recently left the position to spend more time with family.
Best known to Athens theater patrons for her work at Athens High School where she directed on and off for almost 50 years, Patterson has also worked with Athenian-Berean Theater and Actors Moveable Theater. Her contributions have included acting, directing, and administration.
OVST has been a central focus for Patterson as well. She has served on the board for two decades including serving as president and chairing the Artistic Direction Committee. She directed JABBERWOK for the group in 2004. She also has directed the summer youth theater camp for 10 years.
“This position feels like a perfect fit for me,” Patterson said. “I am excited to move toward our 68th season and beyond. Theater work is very much my DNA.”
