Amber Alert Lifted… Man in custody
< < Back to police-searching-for-man-three-childrenUPDATE: An Amber Alert for three children in Athens, Ohio has been canceled after they were found safe and their father was arrested in Cleveland. The alert was lifted shortly after midnight Thursday.
The Athens Police Department is alerting the public of a possible abduction of three children by a man who is now wanted.
Police responded to a complaint of domestic violence and abduction at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a press release by the APD.
“As a result of an ongoing investigation, APD has obtained felony warrants for Neil M. Perin,” the release states.
Perin, 34, reportedly fled the area with three children, so APD issued an Amber Alert for Lilly Dudas, age 4, described as 3-foot-6-inches tall, 44 lbs., and last seen wearing a purple skirt, black pants and a blue top. Also included in the Amber Alert are two-year-old Olive Perin, described as two-feet tall and 24 lbs., with brown hair and eyes; and one-year-old Henry Perin, of unknown height and weight, but with short blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a one piece with a hood.
The alert states Perin fled in a gray 2012 Dodge Journey van, with a plate number of GJG8892. He is described as six-foot-one-inch tall, 190 lbs., with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last reported to be driving through the Cleveland area.
