OSU Mansfield Student, Kidnapping Suspect Found Dead

A woman and the man accused of abducting her from the Ohio State University Mansfield campus were found dead in Kentucky, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A press release from patrol said Skylar Williams, 20, of Mansfield, was reportedly abducted at gunpoint on Monday from the OSU campus by a suspect later identified as Ty’Rell Pounds, 24, also of Mansfield.
“The vehicle Pounds was driving had been abandoned at an Enterprise car rental facility and a dark gray Dodge Caravan had been stolen from another residence,” the release stated.
Tuesday, Pounds was involved in a “pursuit and violent altercation with Kentucky State Police Troopers,” according to the release.
“We have confirmed both the suspect and the victim have been confirmed deceased,” Ohio State Highway Patrol stated.
No other detailed about the Kentucky incident were released.
Law enforcement confirmed the two had a child together, who was found safe with family members.
