OVST Presents ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ July 11-28

On this installment of Conversations From Studio B, the Ohio Valley Summer Theater’s 2019 production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” is discussed. WOUB’s Emily Votaw interviews the production’s director, Dusty Brown; the production’s music director Devin Sudman, and actors Carter Rice (Quasimodo), and Hannah McCauley (Esmerelda).
The production will open on Thursday, July 11 in the Forum Theater (35 South College Street, Athens, Ohio University’s RTV building) and run through Sunday, July 28. The show runs Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m. The musical was originally developed by Disney Theatrical Productions and is based on both the 1831 French Gothic novel of the same name by Victor Hugo and the 1996 Disney animated movie of the same name.
