ATHENS (WOUB) — Two more fraternities and a sports club have been named in cease and desist letters at Ohio University.

The business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, the social fraternity Pi Kappa Phi, and the Men’s Rugby club have all been served with letters by the university’s Division of Student Affairs. All three of the letters, signed by Taylor Tackett, assistant dean of students and director, allege the groups “engaged in conduct that puts the health and safety of your members at risk and is not in compliance with the behavioral expectations set out in the Student Code of Conduct.”

“The conditions of this directive mean that the group is not to meet in any capacity, officially or unofficially,” the letters to all three organizations stated.

The groups were asked to supply a full list of members, including potential new members or pledges, a full list of anyone who “attempted to gain membership” and documentation of anyone who is no longer part of the team or chose not to gain membership. Fraternities were also asked to provide any all big/little pairings among organization members, “if merited.”

OU had previously suspended all 15 Intrafraternity Council fraternities on campus, followed by three sororities and another business fraternity under similar allegations.

The university has not released any statements about the nature of the allegations leveled against the fraternities.
