Trimble Lady Tomcats Sweep Conference Rival with Tireless Defense

The Lady Tomcats finished on top with a final score of 48-30. Some of these players were not even born yet the last time Trimble has swept Waterford in the regular season.
Defense was the name of the game for the Lady Tomcats. They forced Waterford into bad shots and took away passing lanes. The Lady Wildcats finished the first half with seven points on 1/18 shooting from the field.
On the other side, the Trimble Lady Tomcats carried out their hard defense and solid ball control to finish the half with 25 points.
The third quarter has remained the strongest for Trimble all season long and tonight was no exception. Waterford also came out rejuvenated and attempted to close the gap but could not keep up to finish out the quarter 38-17.
Brianna Orsbourne led the way today for the Lady Tomcats tonight with 13 points. Not far behind was Jayne Six and Emily Young with 11 points. Also in double digits was Laikyn Imler with 10 points.
The well-roundness for the Trimble Lady Tomcats has contributed greatly to their success tonight and this season. Trimble’s Imler, Orsbourne, Six and Young all average double digits for the Lady Tomcats.
The Trimble Lady Tomcats will look to keep this consistency next Saturday as they enter the postseason.
