Ohio University Makes Provost Swap – Effective Immediately
< < Back toOhio University just announced Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Chaden Djalali has stepped down – effective Friday afternoon. The announcement came in the
form of an email from President Duane Nellis. It reads, in part, “Following his sabbatical, he will join the University’s faculty in the Physics and Astronomy Department to continue his research and other faculty pursuits.” The former provost has been in the job for less than two years.
In the same email, Nellis announced that he had appointed Dr. Elizabeth Sayrs to the position for the next three years. She will assume that role Saturday, March 7, 2020.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Sayrs was the Dean of University and Senior Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success.
