If you could see your family’s future, would you change anything?

FAST-FORWARD, a documentary film narrated by Rosario Dawson with an original song by Andrew Bird, follows four millennials and their parents as they travel through time to meet their future selves. Wearing an MIT-produced “aging empathy suit” and working with professional make-up artists, they grapple with the realizations, conversations and mindset required to age successfully.

Family dynamics are a primary driver of success – or failure – as we age. Being intentional and talking about your future 20, 30 or 40 years ahead of time with your closest relatives is never premature or off-limits.

With expert commentary by medical and aging professionals, we see sons and fathers, daughters and mothers laugh, cry, and have heartwarming ‘aha’ moments together. They revisit their plans, make big changes, and approach the rest of their lives with a whole new perspective. FAST FORWARD is a story that shows how successful aging is possible when intergenerational loved ones converse about their needs, communicate from the heart, and plan for the process ahead. Ultimately, the families learn they have more control over how they age than they thought.
